Rickman Renewables

Just had our heat pump check up with Fred -- and we found him such a thorough, thoughtful, and knowledgeable guy! The previous owners of our home used Rickman Renewables to install the heat pump and recommended him for the maintenance. He was patient with all our questions and clearly explained not only how to keep it working well, but also the mechanics! We really value his knowledge and professionalism and would recommend him to anyone. We also REALLY love the heat pump -- especially now that Fred helped us install the app.

Amazing experience with Fed, Ash, Chris, Tom, Sol and Sam installing ASHP and solar on our home. They were in and out within 5 days, explained everything clearly and were so considerate working around our needs as a family with 3 kids 5 and under. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for solar and/or ASHP instillation. Hard working, personable and high-quality outfit. We're going to miss having them around the house having had them for a week! Special kudos to Ash for dealing so gracefully with changing our cable route preferences...!

We used Rickman Heat to install the ASHP and hot water cylinder into our new Passive House in Herefordshire. Fred and his team were professional and knowledgeable and clearly knew how to get the best performance from our ASHP. I've met plumbers who will install an ASHP and not care whether it performs or not. This is NOT the case with Rickman heat. Lovely tidy job. They were all a pleasure to have in the house. Nothing was too much trouble and they took pride in delivering a first class job. Communication was great with the office and the paperwork was straightforward. I would not hesitate to recommend Fred and the guys to anyone.

Fred, Chris and Gary were absolutely brilliant. It's such a huge job but they worked incredibly hard and had the whole job done extremely quickly, even doing a few extras as well. They are all lovely to work with and minimised the disruption for us as much as possible. Fred and the team clearly have a huge passion for getting these systems in and working as efficiently as possible and this really comes across. Their expertise was really clear and invaluable for implementing such a complex project. If you have an older or weird property, or been told you can't have one, that it would be too difficult, trust these guys with your heat pump install.

Fred and his team installed a heat pump in our house and I have to say they wen't out of their way to make it as smooth for us during the install as they could. Also the design means that the impact on our house is minimal. I couldn't be happier. There was an issue that came up that we agreed a solution to, but an hour later one of the team came back to me and said "I have thought of a better solution, what do you think?" Despite this meaning more work for them. Fred also got his team re-laying the patio, despite this being initially excluded, just because they'd run out of things to do. Really top rate. Only challenge is how popular and busy they are!

Fred and his team are terrific, reliable professionals who installed an air source heat pump for us. They designed and fitted the entire heating and hot water set up for our old victorian house. The job ran on time, with clear communication throughout and the price quoted was the final quote paid. Really couldn't recommend them more, and already have to others considering getting a heat pump.

If you want a heat pump then look no further - you need Fred and the Rickman Heat team! Fred is an expert at designing heating systems that run as cheaply as possible (depending on your appetite for system upgrades) and knows a huge amount about how to get the best out of a heat pump system. (A bad installer could leave you with a system that doesn't meet your needs and costs 50% or even 100% more to run!) The team were very conscientious, respectful, punctual and friendly - it was great to have them working on the house and they took everything in their stride; they work hard to get all the important details right. All the administration and communication leading up to the install was great. We're so grateful with our new super comfortable heating system and very happy to be rid of our gas boiler. Massive thanks to Rickman Heat!
