From initial survey and discussion Liam filled me with confidence, he's knowledgeable and left me with complete confidence in the investment we were about to make. On to installation day and they were brilliant - friendly, clean and efficient. We are a week after installation now and the system is working great, house is holding at a steady 20°C and plenty of hot water for a family of four. It's really quiet too, so much so you have to stand in front of it to feel the air movement to check. Thanks Liam and team, it was a pleasure having you in our house.
I do not give out a five star rating easily, Liam and his team of Ben and Alfie earned this by being professional, courtious and great to deal with during the three days it took to install my heat pump. I was to say the least somewhat pessmisic about going the heat pump route but during the two site surveys Liam coducted he gave me the cofidence to do so. As its very early days it would be wrong of me to sing the praises of my new Vaillant 5Kw heat pump just now but initial impressions are very favourable. I would be happy for Liam to pass on my contact details should anybody wish to have more information regarding this transition.
Brilliant experience, Liam and his team were professional, polite, worked hard and kept everything tidy. Heatpump installed within scheduled timeframe and a week in we can already say it's been one of the better home upgrades we've ever done.

I really can not recommend Liam highly enough. The initial contact was for a heat-loss survey, which was very thorough and professional and gave me lots of confidence. Liam was very happy to answer all my questions and respond to my requirements. Unlike many of the views in some newspapers, we did not need any new radiators, but just a new hot-water cylinder. When it came to the actual installation, Liam and his team arrived early each day and worked tirelessly throughout the day - stopping only for the cups of tea I provided! They were meticulous in their attention to detail, and left my property in better condition than it was when they started! Liam did a very thorough handover, and was more than happy to answer any comments and explain the system. The haetpump worked immediately and with no fuss. Now after only a couple of days (and cold outside at that) we have a wonderfully warm house - much pleasanter than the old gas boiler. Oh, and the heat pump is allmost silent ever standing next to it. I had a couple of questions post-installations, but Liam responded very quickly and sorted things out. As I said, strongly recommended!
Spoke to Liam via heatgeeks recommended. He attended my property and conducted a thorough survey and came up with a price including a government grant and a bonus grant from Halifax my mortgage provider that was unbelievable value compared to fixing my broken boiler. The total installation was less than £500 for a heat pump, new hot water cylinder and everything else required for the system. Turned up on time and everything was done in discussion with myself and to a very high standard. Had a full discussion with Liam going through the controls before my system was fully commissioned and he showed me how to control it via the app and the wireless thermostat. The system has now been installed for several months with absolutely no issues, water is very hot as needed. The winter will be the real test but I’m confident it will be fine as the house has never felt cold so far. Best tradesman I’ve had in my property throughout my renovation and very highly recommended.
I recently had the pleasure of having Liam and his team from The Heating People, installing a heat pump in my home. The journey started in December 2024 when Liam visited my home to carry out a heat loss survey to assess the property and culminated in the heat pump being installed at the end of March 2025. Liam and his company The Heating People were assigned to me after I used the Heatgeek website as part of my research into 1. getting a heat pump, and 2. finding competent installers who know their stuff. For anyone looking to get one I would recommend this website as it provided me with invaluable information into how heat pumps work, how best to use them, and most importantly how to get the best and most knowledgeable people to install them. Liam and team were excellent, they were respectful of my home; they clearly know their stuff. They worked tirelessly for the 5 days it took to complete the install and were genuinely great people to be around. All in all, it was a great experience and I would wholly recommend them for anyone looking to go on the heat pump journey.
