Heatforce

Heatforce was founded in 1982 by Paul Maddocks as a one-man band installing boilers and heating systems. It is a family business, with Sarah Maddocks joining in 2004. The company has 40 years of expertise and 20 years of heat pump experience. It has installed over 50,000 boilers, over 30,000 solar panels, and has over 60,000 happy customers, over 3,000 home cover customers, and over 150 energy experts.

Heatforce became MCS Certified in 2010. It was first awarded 'Installer of The Year' in 2017 and has since won a further 7 awards, including 'Installer of the Year' in 2024. Its main office is in Cardiff and it serves the entire UK. Heatforce partners with local authorities, housing associations, charities, and utility companies. It installs solar panels, heat pumps, EV charging stations and boiler replacements, and provides Home Cover Plans.

Across the reviews, the professionalism and tidiness of Heatforce's installation teams stand out, whether the work involved a heat pump with new pipework and radiators or solar panels. A number of customers describe the crews as efficient, hard working and pleasant to have around the home, with staff such as Gareth Walters, Mitch, Josh, Reece and Sophie singled out for praise. A detail many reviews return to is the quality of communication: Gareth is said to respond promptly and helpfully to follow-up queries, while the administrative team is credited with providing clear information before and after installation.

Reviewers also mention the speed with which substantial jobs are completed, describing pipework and radiators fitted throughout a property within days and with minimal disruption. The solar side of the business attracts similar comments, with scaffolders, electricians, panel installers and service inspectors described as knowledgeable and polite. One customer found reaching project managers awkward, yet persistence resolved matters, and the dominant theme remains reliable, tidy workmanship across heat pump, radiator and solar installations in Cardiff.
