Hex Energy - Heat Pump Specialists

This week we had Tony from Hex Energy with us servicing the Ground Source Heat Pump that was installed in our home before we moved in. We had very little information about the set up and have struggled to even get information out of the manufacturer, some other companies have visited to quote, but did not get back to us. Hex were great, from the fact we could send photos to get quotes, as we are quite remote, to the experienced engineer who serviced everything. Tony (Kent) was clearly very knowledgeable and was really driven to do a class job. He was really patient and helped me to understand what was happening with the system, how to operate it all more effectively, and advised on what was needed to ensure the correct running and maintenance going forward. Between Jade, Craig and Tony the people we've dealt with so far we felt completely supported and got the impression that this is a company that cares about it's team and customers. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others! Thank you all!

Engaged Hex Energy to design, supply & install a complex GHSP system, this was for a very bespoke contract, from design to completion I found them both knowledgeable & professional. The quality of their work is excellent & our point of contact, Jack, was not only very knowledgeable, helpful & professional but was also very engaging with the customer, he oversaw this tricky project through conception to completion, thank you. Would certainly use Hex again for future contracts & would recommend!

Hex installed a GSHP, with about 800m of piping in our field, and a mastertherm setup. I think our project was more complicated than most, with a difficult trench dig, and all the plant going in our basement, which involved some logistical creativity. So not without snags and challenges, but The Hex team were always engaged and worked closely with us, our builders, and internal plumbers to get the job done. A year on, I'm very happy with the delivery, and would happily recommend.

This will be my first ever negative review, but I feel I have to be honest about my experience. I asked this company to investigate why our air source heating system was using such a huge amount of energy. Following the engineer’s visit and changes made to the settings, we were left without heating and hot water and I ended up having to get the system running again myself. The main issue also wasn’t actually identified during the visit. We later had another company attend who found the cause fairly quickly, which turned out to be a control panel setting issue. What disappointed me most wasn’t even the original outcome, because I understand things don’t always go perfectly, but more how the situation was handled afterwards. I tried to resolve things fairly and even offered to meet halfway on the invoice, however this was refused with only a small reduction offered. The company maintains the visit was carried out correctly and covered by their terms and disclaimers, but personally I just don’t feel the overall experience reflected the level of service I expected given the cost involved.

Scott in particular has been excellent to deal with - straightforward, helpful, and consistently on top of things, which has made coordination especially smooth. Overall, Hex Energy sets high standards and values quality, which makes for a strong and efficient working relationship. We look forward to continuing our partnership and would gladly recommend them as a reliable and forward-thinking company.

I originally met Hex energy at an energy show at the NEC ( or whatever it’s called these days). The original meeting was an introduction to all of the products and services. We were novices on the heat pump world and absorbed the materials presented on tha day in 2023. We eventually choose HEX to complete our energy needs in 2025 and had a complete install in two segments during the year. Everything promised was delivered, on time I. Budget That’s something I sadly cannot say for many other contractors we have used. Highly recommend Jack and his team.
