I have been impressed with the service and workmanship I received from this Company. From the initial consultation and planning stage with Ben and Alex through to the installation of my hot water cylinder and oil boiler carried out smoothly and efficiently, headed by Greg and his 'squad', Louis, Marshall and Gareth. Greg's interpersonal skills were excellent and he kept me informed throughout the process of the project. There was a great working vibe due to the sunshine and the imminent England Match coupled with some great background vintage tracks. So combined with their hard technical work and expertise, friendliness and communication skills, this was a winning team! Thank you very much and also a special thank you to Daniel who always answered the phone so promptly and politely. I have no hesitation in recommending this Company.
I share this review to help others. 10years ago we used them to fit a new boiler. However, during install the pressure relief valve & overflow pipe to exterior wasn't fitted correctly. 2 months ago boiler over pressurised and valve didn't do it's job. Entire heating system flooded kitchen and ruined it. Now awaiting insurers to sort out. We used them religiously for servicing over 10years. But it seems their engineers do a superficial job. Just a bit of dust removal, gas pressure check/leaks. No one in 10 years bothered to check that 2 simple retaining clips were fitted back properly. They never changed or cleaned filters because they fitted in a dum inaccessible place behind boiler. Boiler should have been mounted at chest height for easier servicing. Plenty of height & width to do that but no they put it above floor level at ankle height. Worcester boilers are crap for forward thinking and put the most common parts to service in difficult places to get at. Boiler needs removing from wall to service properly. No 20yr something gas guy is going to bother with that. He wants to get in and out. How do I know all this? My top notch gas eng brought in to fix the mess told me. The valve simply popped off in his hands whilst removing the boiler from wall. He said never ever should that happen because that's the job of the clips. So Aura thanks for all this. Paid you a great deal of money over 10 years for a sub-standard, poor quality job. The pressure vessel has degraded too and not doing it's intended job. But your service guys wouldn't know that would they!?
Strongly advise that you don’t let this company in your house to do any work major mess up from start to finish equipment installed then taken out due to errors no heating for 2 days due to this in winter damage to my car then told I need to deal with it my self now my boilers packed in due to the heat pump and I’ve asked for help and I’ve been told by the director that it’s my responsibility I’ve tried 4 companies British Gas and other well known ones and they have all stated they cannot put me in a new boiler due to the heat pump I’ve tried to speak with the director twice to get there equipment removed and my original set up put back in to place so I can then get a new boiler fitted at my own cost and still nothing just a reply ( he will call you by the end of play on the day ) It’s absolutely disgusting that not only damage has been done to property but the after care is also disgraceful So take advice from my review Avoid
From start to finish, everyone at Aura was polite, friendly and genuinely helpful. Our co-ordinator was outstanding—guiding us through the technical details and even helping us navigate the confusion around grant funding with real clarity, care and tremendous patience. The installation team were equally impressive. Working around a complex renovation, they listened carefully, adapted to our plans, and completed the job with great attention to detail. The system has performed flawlessly from day one, with virtually no downtime during installation. Seeing our smart meter at zero usage—and knowing we’re doing our bit for the environment—is immensely satisfying. A superb result.
Someone from aura retrofit cold called at our door advising that as part of a government scheme we could be given free solar panels. After almost an hour of discussion and filling out forms he left and we were called by their office team to schedule in a survey. This survey got rescheduled to another day and then no one turned up. A couple of weeks later I thought it would be worth following up on only to receive an email telling me that our house does not qualify due to being steel framed. I feel like the person who cold called us should have done their research before completely wasting our time as the whole street is steel framed and it is no secret. Complete waste of time
The project was very well organised, including multiple teams which can always be challenging! The work was carried out to the highest standards! I would highly recommend Aura Retrofit services!
We had an ASHP, cylinder, solar and radiators installed by Aura Retrofit (formerly Aura Heating). We raised an installation concern about the ASHP condensate/relief discharge at the time of installation and again over a year later, due to a persistent drip, and were repeatedly told it wasn’t an issue. When it later became clear the installation needed correcting, a remedial visit was arranged. The engineer who attended only applied sealant around the area and advised that proper drainage changes would be needed, but he hadn’t been authorised or equipped to complete that work. After a long back-and-forth, Aura involved the company that had previously signed off the work, and a further review identified elements of the installation that required correction. Despite this, Aura repeatedly avoided confirming in writing what exact works they would carry out, how they would route the discharge safely, and what would happen if the ground conditions prevented a simple soakaway solution. It felt like pressure to “just let us do something” without explaining the method or outcome. Eventually a visit to complete the agreed remedial work was booked, and then cancelled on the day at very late notice, with the issue pushed to a third party. Overall, the customer service has been very poor: inconsistent answers, refusal to clearly set out the scope of work, and unreliable scheduling. Based on our experience, I would not recommend.
