Insulation Solutions Scotland Ltd

Insulation Solutions Scotland Ltd is an insulation contractor based in Edinburgh. The company specialises in the installation and maintenance of energy efficient measures in domestic homes, schools, offices and commercial buildings. It works with home owners and housing associations to secure utility funded schemes.

The company is a member of, and holds accreditations by, relevant professional bodies and trade associations. It has over 50 years of combined industry experience. The company offers cavity wall insulation for new build and retrofit, loft insulation for new build, retrofit, top-up or room in roof, and internal wall insulation using fully accredited systems. It recruits and employs local labour.

Floor, wall and roof insulation work around Penicuik produces a mixed set of accounts, and the split is consistent. Several buyers describe a friendly, responsive team that attended quickly to survey and quote, with the written estimate arriving the same day, followed by a straightforward installation. George is named more than once as knowledgeable and helpful, particularly for stepping in after an Energy Savings Trust funding application had been turned down, which ended in the money being awarded.

Careful communication during the job and a neat finish are mentioned again and again, and one surveyor remarked on how orderly the completed work appeared. Against that, other accounts describe appointments that were not honoured, with no one turning up and no calls returned despite repeated attempts to make contact. Reports also refer to work left unfinished, small tasks outstanding, no clearing away before the crew departed, and waste bags still present long afterwards. Doubts about workmanship appear in places, and getting the company to attend is described as unreliable.
